How can we get people to come and use Leicester City Centre after lockdown?

We’d like to invite you to help us answer this question!

Pathways, in partnership with Colab Creation, are running a summer design challenge for students in Leicester.

This five week online course will give you an opportunity to develop and use your artistic skills on a live creative brief set by BID Leicester to help everyone “Love Leicester after Lockdown”.

When: every Monday and Wednesday, 2.00 – 3.30pm, 20 July – 19 August

Where: online using Zoom for live classes

Who: Year 9 – Year 13

You can use our online application form on the book now button.

Deadline for applications is Monday 20 July.

We’ll be sending out all the equipment you need to make the most out of this project including sketch books, marker pens and pencils.

Places are limited to 30 so if we are oversubscribed priority will be given to students who fulfil a number of criteria including:

  • Live in an area identified as a Pathways or Uni Connect Ward (determined by home postcode)
  • Be the first in their family to consider attending university
  • Be in receipt of free school meals
  • Be in or have spent time in local authority care
  • Are a young carer
  • Have a disability including specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or ADHD

This is in line with our guidelines issued by our funder, the Office for Students and the Uni Connect programme.

Any questions can be sent to Katie via reach@le.ac.uk

After that session, I am thinking about University. I wasn’t before. I’m more confident now.
